An elderly walker had to be airlifted to hospital after falling 40ft from a cliff on Loch Lomond.
The 87-year-old man fell in the area of Rob Roy’s Cave around 3.50pm on Monday.
A passing fishing boat heard his cries for help around three hours later and raised the alarm.
Police Scotland called Loch Lomond Rescue teams, who were able to fully immobilise the man to protect his spine and pelvis from further injury.

With assistance from the Scottish Ambulance Service’s trauma team and national park rangers, the injured man was then transferred to Inveruglas to be airlifted to hospital.
Rescue teams thanked the fisherman who called the incident in.
