A bottle was thrown through an on-call doctor’s car window while he was out visiting patients in Renfrewshire.

Two men approached the man in his vehicle in Paisley’s Blackstoun Oval last Monday night, before smashing his rear window as he drove off around 11.30pm.

Police were unable to trace the vandals following the attack but have since launched an investigation and have asked witnesses to come forward.

A spokeswoman said: “Around 11.30pm on Monday, April 13, police received a report of a car being damaged in Blackstoun Oval, Paisley.

“A man was in his car when it was approached by two men, who as he drove off hit the vehicle and threw a bottle smashing the back window.

“Officers attended and searched the area but there was no trace.”

Enquiries are ongoing and those with information should contact police on 101.
