Van deliberately torched while parked on street in ‘reckless act’ in Alexandria SFRS

An appeal has been launched after a van was deliberately set alight during the early hours of Saturday morning in West Dunbartonshire. 

At around 1.30am on January 13, a silver Renault traffic van, parked on Ladyton in Bonhill, Alexandria was reported to be on fire.

No one was injured as a result of the blaze and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Detective constable Thomas O’Donnell, of Clydebank CID said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this reckless act.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who has any information, private CCTV or dash cam footage which could assist us to get in touch.”
