A van burst into flames and “exploded” on a major Glasgow road on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports of a van on fire on Great Western Road at around 4.20pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) deployed one engine to the scene and crews were still tackling the blaze as of 5pm on Monday.
No injuries have been reported as a result.
One eyewitness stated traffic had continued to pass when the vehicle “went on fire and exploded”.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.20pm on Monday, October 3 to reports of a van on fire on Great Western Road, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters currently remain on scene to extinguish the fire.
“There are no reported casualties.”
