An urgent appeal has been launched to trace a “vulnerable” missing man from Glasgow.

Anthony McCallum was last seen at 1.50pm on Wednesday on Gibson Street in the Kelvinbridge area of the city.

The 66-year-old is described as white, around 5″6 inches tall with stocky to medium build, grey straggling long hair, a bushy beard and may be wearing glasses.

Police said Mr McCallum was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, blue denim jeans, grey and black knitted jumper and a blue fedora hat.

Extensive enquiries are underway to trace the missing man and confirm his wellbeing.

The force is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Dean Shankie said “It is out of character for Anthony to be missing for this length of time. It is important that we trace Anthony as soon as possible to confirm his wellbeing.

“If anyone has seen Anthony or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please contact the police as a matter of urgency.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the police by calling 101, quoting incident number 1992 of May 22, 2024.”
