Traffic ScotlandA crash involving two vehicles has blocked the M8 at rush hour in North Lanarkshire.
Traffic Scotland advised drivers junction five of the motorway has one lane blocked after a collision involving two vehicles after 7am on Monday.
Police are said to be on the scene near Shotts.
Traffic Scotland said traffic was “really beginning to slow” on approach to the junction.
A post read: “The M8 is currently restricted eastbound at Junction 5 due to a road traffic accident.
“All lanes are currently restricted. Motorists are advised to use caution on approach.”
