Two teens injured after underpass attack by gang armed with weapons

The two victims, aged 18 and 17, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries as a result of the incident.

Two teenagers have sustained serious injuries after being assaulted in an underpass in Glasgow.

An 18-year-old man and 17-year-old male were attacked after being approached by three males with their faces covered in possession of weapons.

The teens were with two other friends when the incident occurred, after the males got out of a dark coloured vehicle on Kelso Street, Yoker and carried out the attack.

The suspects later made off in the direction of Greenlaw Road.

The victims were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The male suspects are described by police as aged between 16 and 18 years old, and wearing dark coloured clothing with hoods up and faces covered.

Kris Elliott, of Drumchapel CID, said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack and we are eager to trace those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen these suspects, or where they went after the serious assault, to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3190 of Tuesday, March 28, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
