Two teenagers have been arrested and charged after a deliberate fire in Ayr.
The incident took place at around 3.55pm on Sunday in the Smith Street area.
Police confirmed that two males, both aged 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
They are expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.
A spokesperson said: “Two male youths have been arrested and charged in connection with wilful fire-raising in Ayr.
“The incident happened around 3.55pm on Sunday, 28 May, 2023, in the Smith Street area.
“Officers attended and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“The two males, both aged 17, are expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date. Reports will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
