Woman charged after crash leaves two in hospital

A woman has been charged following a crash near Anderston Cross in Glasgow, which left two people in hospital.

The crash was reported just after 10.30am on Wednesday, at the junction near the M8 and the Clydeside Expressway.

STV News understands the car landed on its roof.

An ambulance spokesperson confirmed two people had been transported to hospital.

They said: “We received a call at 10.35am to attend an incident on Argyle Street, Glasgow. We dispatched an ambulance and a paramedic response unit (PRU) to the scene.

“We transported two patients to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

Police confirmed a woman has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
