Two taken to hospital after crash as road closed

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in South Lanarkshire as the road remains closed.

Emergency services were called to the collision on the A73 at the Sherifflats Road junction near Thankerton around 1.30pm on Thursday.

Two people have been taken to hospital following the collision involving two vehicles.

A Police Scotland statement read: “Drivers are asked to avoid the area where possible.”
