Two people have been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash on the A9 in Pitlochery.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the A9 at the House of Bruar has been closed in both directions due to the collision.
Officers confirmed that they received reports of a collision around 11am on Sunday morning
Emergency services attended the scene where a 40-year-old man and a 85-year-old woman were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed that as of 3.50pm on Sunday the road remains closed and that emergency services are still in attendance.
Enquiries into the incident on “ongoing”.
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said:
“Around 11.05am on Sunday, 31 December, 2023, we received a report of a three vehicle road crash on the A9 near to Blair Atholl. Emergency services attended and a 40-year-old man and a 85-year-old woman were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“The road remains closed in both directions while emergency services are in attendance.”
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
