Two people have been arrested in England in connection with vandalism at Trump Turnberry’s golf courses and clubhouse in South Ayrshire.
The golf resort near the Girvan was targeted in the early hours of the morning on March 8.
Red paint was thrown over the clubhouse while the greens were dug up and marker flags pulled down.
The luxury golf resort is operated by The Trump Organisation, which Donald Trump owns.
Trump said anyone involved with causing the damage is a “terrorist” and that he hopes they are “treated harshly”.
Police confirmed on Friday that a 55-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man have been arrested in connection with damage to the golf course.
The woman was arrested in Leeds, and the man was arrested in Wakefield.
The arrests come after Kieran Robson, 33, appeared in private at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday and was charged with malicious mischief over the incident.
Robson, of Galashiels in the Scottish Borders, made no plea during the brief hearing and was committed for further examination and released on bail pending a further court appearance.
Police previously arrested a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman following enquiries in Oban on March 26.
Both were released.
