Two police officers were taken to hospital after their van crashed in East Ayrshire.

The vehicle crashed on the B7081 between Springside and Crosshouse around 11.45am on Thursday.

The officers were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and have been discharged.

No other vehicle was involved, and enquiries into the crash are underway.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 11.45am on Thursday, July 24, 2025, a one-vehicle crash happened on the B7081 between Springside and Crosshouse, East Ayrshire, involving a police van.

“The two occupants, both police officers, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and have now been discharged from hospital.

“Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.”
