Two men were rushed to hospital for treatment after a “disturbance” in Greenock on Tuesday night.
Police responded to the incident around 10.10pm in the Darlymple Street area of Greenock.
A 32-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were both taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment following the police response.
Police Scotland have since confirmed that both men were arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 10.10pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the Dalrymple Street area of Greenock.
“Two men, aged 32 and 24, were taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.
“Both men were arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
“Anyone with any information should contact Greenock CID via 101 quoting incident number 3517 of May 10.”
