Two men in court charged with murder of Brian Gough in Glasgow Police Scotland

Two men have appeared in court accused of murdering Brian Gough in Glasgow.

Kevin Shanley, 35, and Kyle Shanley, 26, allegedly assaulted Brian Gough, 27, in Possilpark on May 18, 2024.

Mr Gough was found seriously injured on Saracen Street.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he later died.

Court papers state that Mr Gough was “struck on the body with a knife or a similar instrument.”

The two men made no plea at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the charge of murder.

They were remanded in custody and committed for further examination by Sheriff Patricia Pryce.

Kevin Shanley and Kyle Shanley, both from Glasgow, will appear at court again within the next eight days.
