Two men have been charged following a protest outside asylum seeker accommodation in Dundee.
The incidents occurred on the city’s Alloway Place outside a block of flats where those seeking asylum were being housed.
Officers arrested and charged the two men, aged 59 and 58, during a demonstration at Reid Square on Monday in relation to the previous incidents.
After the police attended, the group dispersed.
The 58-year-old man will appear in court regarding a disturbance which occurred on November 8. The second man is due in court in relation to a disturbance on September 28.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were aware of a protest at Reid Square in Dundee during the evening of Monday, November 17, 2025.
“Officers attended and the group dispersed a short time later.
“Two men, aged 59 and 58, were both arrested and charged in connection with offences relating to previous incidents at Alloway Place in Dundee.
“The 58-year-old was released to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date in connection with a disturbance on Saturday, November 8, 2025, while the 59-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with a disturbance on Sunday, September 28, 2025.”
