Two men have been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in a car park in Clydebank.
The incident occurred beside The Crescent in Dalmuir at around 8.20pm on Saturday near the train station.
The men, aged 35 and 37, are due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, March 12.
Police Scotland said a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Previously, the force said two members of the public intervened after the woman was attacked by one man while another stood by.
Detective inspector Craig Bate described the incident as “terrifying” for the alleged victim and “extremely upsetting” for those who came to her aid.
There was an increased presence of officers in the area as they carried out enquiries and checked CCTV footage.
Detective inspector Craig Bate said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information to assist our enquiries.
“I would like to reassure the community that additional patrols are being carried out and I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to officers.”
