Two men have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies in South Ayrshire.
Two of the incidents happened on Content Street, Ayr, and the other two on Victoria Street in the town between 7.45pm on Thursday, October 28 and 12.20am on Friday, October 29.
Police Scotland’s detective chief inspector Mick Carr called the alleged crimes “unusual”.
The 22-year-old and 39-year-old men were charged in relation to the robberies as well as a theft at a bowling alley in Miller Street on Monday, October 25.
Both have been held in custody and are expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, November 1.
The arrests follow a public appeal by Police Scotland.
A spokesperson for the force thanked those who assisted officers in their enquiries.
