Two men have been charged after a serious assault in Glasgow city centre.

A 21-year-old and a 26-year-old have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident that took place on Union Street at around 12.20am on Monday, March 4.

A 31-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

Both men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, March 5.

Police said enquiries remain ongoing.
