Two men have been arrested and charged after a car failed to stop for police, prompting a police pursuit in Glasgow.

The incident occurred at around 11.15am on Wednesday on Alexander Park Street in Dennistoun.

Police pursued the vehicle before it came to a stop a short time later on Appin Road.

Both the driver and the passenger were charged.

A spokesperson said: “Around 11.15am on Wednesday, August 26, a car failed to stop for officers on Alexander Park Street in Glasgow.

“Following a short pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop on Appin Road. The driver and a male passenger were traced a short time later. No injuries were reported.

“Both men, aged 22 and 25, were arrested and charged in connection. They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 27.”
