Two men, aged 21 and 33, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incidents.

Two men have been charged following a string of robberies in Lanarkshire, with almost £500,000 of items stolen.

It comes after an investigation by the Lanarkshire Proactive Team into four housebreakings at homes in Airdrie, Biggar and Lanark between March 16 and April 19.

The total value of items stolen in these thefts is estimated at £496,000.

Two men, aged 21 and 33, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incidents.

Police Scotland said the pair have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and are expected to appear at court at a later date.
