Two men were taken to hospital following a disturbance at a flat which closed a busy road in Glasgow for over seven hours.

Police were called to Dover Street in Finnieston around 11.20pm on Friday following reports of a disturbance.

Argyle Street was closed to all traffic eastbound at its junction with Finnieston Street while the incident was dealt with.

Two men, aged 39 and 41, were taken to hospital and both were arrested.

The road reopened around 7am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.20pm on Friday, July 4, officers received a report of a disturbance in a flat in Dover Street, Finnieston, Glasgow.

“Two men, aged 39 and 41 years, were taken to hospital.  Both have also been arrested following the incident. 

“The 39-year-old has been discharged from hospital whilst the 41-year-old remains for treatment.

”Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, however, officers are not looking for anyone else.”
