Two men arrested after delivery driver 'threatened with knife and followed'

Two men have been arrested after a delivery driver was threatened with a knife before being followed in South Lanarkshire.

Police were contacted after the driver was threatened on Rutherglen Main Street around 12.30am on Thursday.

The man also had his vehicle damaged, and was thereafter followed by the suspects.

Officers traced one man a short distance away, and following a vehicle search, a knife was found within.

Two men, 42 and a 32, were arrested and held in custody.

Both men are set to appear at Hamilton Sheriff’s court.
