Two men have been arrested and charged after cannabis worth around £100,000 was seized in Dumfries and Galloway.
Road policing officers stopped a VW Passat which was travelling northbound on the A74(M) near Lockerbie at around 12.40pm on Thursday.
A search of the vehicle was carried out and cannabis with an estimated street value of around £100,000 was seized.
Police said the two men, aged 38 and 43, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with drug and road traffic offences.
Sergeant David Kerr said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and we will continue to take action against those involved in the supply of illegal substances.
“The support of the public is also vital in helping us to bring people responsible for the manufacture and supply of drugs.
“Anyone with information or concerns should call Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
