Two men have been charged after a cannabis haul with a street value of £70,000 was discovered in a Glasgow flat.

Police made the discovery after officers attended an address in the Anderston area of the city at around 1pm on Friday.

The men, aged 39 and 44, were arrested in connection with the find on St Vincent Terrace before also being charged.

They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Superintendent Steven Elliot said: “Police Scotland is committed to the removal of drugs from our communities and to detect and disrupt those involved.
