Two men and a woman have been left in hospital following a crash between two vans in Ayrshire on Friday evening.
The trio were rushed to a local medical facility after the silver and white Ford Transits collided on the A737 between Beith and Dalry a mile south of Manrahead Roundabout at around 7.40pm.
Officers quickly locked down the road while emergency personnel administered treatment at the scene before they were transported for further care.
Police shut the road for six hours before it reopened at around 1.30am on Saturday morning.
An appeal for eyewitnesses, particularly those who the saw the silver transit on the road before the crash, has now been launched.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who seen the silver van on the road before the crash took place to contact us.
“I would also be keen to obtain any dashcam from drivers on this area of road around the time of the crash on Friday evening.”
Sgt Taylor added: “Anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3352 of January 27.”
