Two men are to stand trial accused of murdering a man in Glasgow.

Kyle Shanley, 27, and Kevin Shanley, 36, allegedly attacked Brian Gough in Possilpark last May 18.

The incident is said to have occurred on Saracen Street in the Saracen Store.

It is claimed there was a fight and that the Shanleys went after the 27-year-old.

Prosecutors allege attempts were then made to hit him with a knife.

The charge states they followed Mr Gough into the shop and that he was struck on the body with the blade.

Mr Gough is said to have been left so badly hurt that he died the next day at the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The case against the Shanleys called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

Lawyers for the pair pleaded not guilty on their behalf.

A trial was set and is scheduled to begin in January 2026.
