Numerous animals have been killed and injured in a livestock attack in Ayrshire.

Two ewes and 13 lambs have been killed in a livestock attack in Ayrshire.

Police have appealed for information following the “significant” livestock attack on agricultural land between the villages of Kirkmichael and Dalrymple on June 13.

Officers said, as well as two ewes and 13 lambs being killed, numerous others were injured in the incident between 3pm and 8.30pm.

Two separate local farm businesses have been impacted.

Rural officer PC Andrew Thorne said: “This has been a significant livestock attack, with two ewes and 13 lambs being killed and numerous others being injured.

“This incident has unfortunately impacted on two separate local farm businesses”.
