Two drivers taken to hospital after collision

Two drivers have been taken to hospital following a crash in North Lanarkshire on Friday.

Emergency services were alerted to a two-vehicle crash on the B8039 in Cumbernauld, between Lenziemill Roundabout and Blairlinn Roundabout, at around 4.15pm.

Two men, who were driving the vehicles, were taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for more than four hours to allow for recovery.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
