Two men have been charged in connection with a disturbance near a primary school in East Dunbartonshire.
Officers said they came across the incident just after 9pm on Friday on Newdyke Road close to Hillhead Primary School in Kirkintilloch.
A 53-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment and was later arrested and charged.
He due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
Another man, 26, was also arrested and charged and will appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
