Two men have been charged after cocaine and cannabis worth £17,800 was seized by police in Dumfries and Galloway.

Officer made the discovery after stopping a car on the A75 near the junction with Commerce Road at around 1pm on Thursday.

A quantity of cocaine with an estimated value of £14,000 and cannabis with an estimated value of £3,800 were recovered.

Police confirmed two men, aged 32 and 42, were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences.

They are due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Friday, March 12, 2025.

Police Scotland is urging anyone with information regarding drugs in their area to come forward.

Detective constable Jill Cash said: “Drugs cause misery on our communities and Police Scotland is committed to bringing those involved in the misuse of illegal substances to justice.

“The public has an important role to play and anyone with information about drugs is asked to contact us on 101, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
