Three teenagers have been charged after a boy was attacked in Dumfries and Galloway.
Emergency services were alerted to Wigtown Road in Newton Stewart on Wednesday following reports a 16-year-old had been assaulted.
A 15-year-old and 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the incident. Officers have also charged a 15-year-old female.
The trio have been reported to the relevant authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, we received a report of the assault of a 16-year-old boy near Wigtown Road, Newton Stewart.
“A 15-year-old male youth, a 15-year-old female youth and a 14-year-old male youth have been arrested and charged in connection and a report has been sent to the relevant authorities.”
