Two men have been arrested after a stabbing and robbery in Glasgow’s West End.
Two men and a woman were taken to hospital after police closed off Argyle Street between Bunhouse Road and Sauchiehall Street following an incident around 1.10am on Tuesday.
Officers received reports of a 49-year-old man and 48-year-old woman found with serious injuries in a property on Blantyre Street.
A 76-year-old man was also taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. He has since been arrested in connection with a serious assault.
A 48-year-old man was also arrested in connection with a robbery.
A police presence remains in the area while enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Argyle Street in Glasgow remains closed between Bunhouse Road and Sauchiehall Street, after a report of a man and woman injured following a disturbance within a property on Blantyre Street around 1.10am on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
“Emergency services attended and the man and woman, aged 49 and 48, were taken to hospital for treatment for treatment to serious injuries.
“A 76-year-old man was also taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. The 76-year-old man has been arrested in connection with serious assault.
“A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with robbery.
“Officers remain in the area as they continue to carry out enquiries.
“Anyone with any information or concerns can approach these officers.
“Drivers are asked to use an alternative route.”
A Scottish Ambulance spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1.04am to attend an incident on Blantyre Street, Glasgow.
“We dispatched three ambulances, one paramedic response unit (PRU), and one special operations response team (SORT) to the scene.
“We transported one patient to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and two patients to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
