Two people have been arrested after a teenage boy was found seriously injured in Thornliebank.

Police were called to a report of a disturbance on Boydstone Road at around 11.10pm on Friday night, where they discovered the hurt 15-year-old.

The teenager was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) where he is in a critical condition.

ScotRail suspended services at Thornliebank station this morning, with trains running between Pollokshaws West and Giffnock passing through without stopping.

Disruption cause by the police dealing with the incident has now ended and services have returned to normal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.10pm on Friday, February 26, 2021, police received a report of a disturbance in Boydstone Road. 

“Officers attended and found a 15-year-old male seriously injured.

“He was taken to the QEUH where he remains in a critical condition. Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.”
