TRNSMT bans single-use vapes and flares as list of prohibited items revealed TRNSMT

Single-use vapes are to be banned at Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival this summer.

Organisers have revealed a full list of prohibited items ahead of the event at Glasgow Green in July.

Attendees will be prohibited from taking in single-use disposable vapes, flags and selfie sticks.

Bags or rucksacks must not be bigger than A4 paper and any glass, including perfume, will also be confiscated.

No food or drink, even unopened, will be allowed to be brought in.

Organisers have warned that Police Scotland will take action on those who set off flares, bring in drugs or set off smoke cannisters.

CCTV and police detection dogs will be deployed at the entrance to the site and across the park.

Bag searches and ticket checks will be conducted prior to entry and passports, full or provisional driving licences, and national proof of age standard scheme cards with a pass hologram will be the only forms of ID accepted.

The festival will be headlined by artists such as Liam Gallagher, Calvin Harris and Gerry Cinnamon.TRNSMT

Ticket holders can bring in an empty soft collapsible water bottle or pouch which is 500ml or smaller to be filled up at free water points.

Small travel size sunscreen, portable phone chargers, lip balm and makeup, small cameras, sunglasses, wipes, ear plugs, and hand sanitiser can also be brought in.

A notice on the TRNSMT website reads: “For those requiring medicine, it must be clearly labelled in the original box or container and only be enough for one day.

“If you use a syringe, please take this to one of our first aid points where you can dispose of this safely.”

Around 50,000 festival-goers are expected to descend on Glasgow Green for the three-day festival that will see performances from the likes of Liam Gallagher, Calvin Harris and Gerry Cinnamon.
