Tributes have been paid to a young dad who died following a motorcycle crash in Greenock on Friday.
Emergency services were called to Earnhill Road within the Larkfield industrial estate at around 3.35pm following reports of a collision involving an orange KTM off-road motorbike and a parked yellow MG 3 Sport.
The rider, Josh Renfrew, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after medical crews arrived.
A fundraiser has been set up by the 20-year-old dad’s auntie following the incident. So far more than £14,000 has been raised in memory of Josh.
His dad, Stewart Bell, took to social media to pay tribute to his son who “passed away far too young”.
He wrote: “He was my boy and my friend, and I’m so proud to have called you my son.
“I promise to look after your mum, Sean, Nadia and Ella for you and make sure you live in Ella and she knows you were the best dad.
“My heart’s broken and don’t know how we will ever be the same.
“Sleep tight ma boy”.
An Investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.
Those with information are urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 2079 of April 10, 2026.
