An emergency closure sparked by a sinking road has caused traffic chaos in Glasgow set to last for the rest of the week.
North Street at the major junction with the Clydeside Expressway, the M8 and Argyle Street under the Kingston Bridge was shut on Monday morning.
Glasgow City Council’s traffic information bulletin said urgent repairs were needed due to “carriageway subsidence”.
The closure is expected to remain in place until Saturday morning.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area – one of the city’s busiest intersections.
The Council said diversions were in place.
