Three streets have been closed in North Lanarkshire after a woman was struck by a car.
Emergency services were called to Woodside Street in Coatbridge after reports of a crash at around 7.45am on Tuesday.
The woman was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Her current condition is unknown.
Police Scotland officers remain at the scene with Old Monkland Road, Viewfield Road and Woodside Street closed to the public.
Drivers are being asked to find alternative routes.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, police were alerted to a road traffic collision involving a female pedestrian and a car in Woodside Street, Coatbridge.
“Emergency services attended and a woman has been taken to the QEUH.
“Old Monkland Road, Viewfield Road and Woodside Street are closed.”
