Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a bus, car and van in Argyll and Bute.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision on Tuesday afternoon just outside of Lochgilphead.

The Citylink bus was travelling between Campbeltown and Glasgow when it was involved in the collision.

Four ambulances were dispatched to the incident at around 4pm, with three people taken to Mid Argyll Hospital.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 4.04pm on Tuesday to attend an incident on the A83 in Lochgilphead. We dispatched four ambulances and transported three patients to Mid Argyll Hospital.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 4pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a bus, van and car on the A83 Lingerton south of Lochgilphead.

“A number of people were injured and taken to hospital.”

Citylink has confirmed that an investigation will be carried out and they are co-operating with authorities.

A spokesperson from the company said: “A Scottish Citylink bus was involved in a Road Traffic Incident on 8 April 2025 shortly after 4pm. The 926 service was travelling southbound on the A83 between Lochgilphead and Castleton when it was in collision with one other vehicle.

“A full investigation into the incident will be carried out by Scottish Citylink, and we are co-operating fully with the authorities.”
