Three more schools report positive cases of coronavirus

Contact tracing is being carried out at Aloysius’ College, Braidbar Primary School and Johnstone High School.

Three more schools have reported positive cases of coronavirus.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is currently carrying out contact tracing at Aloysius’ College in Glasgow, Braidbar Primary School in East Renfrewshire and Johnstone High School in Renfrewshire

The news comes one day after three schools in Glasgow and one school in Renfrewshire reported positive cases.

Transmission of the virus was also found earlier in the week at both Lochend Community High School and Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow.

It follows restrictions placed on people living in Glasgow, East Renfrewshire and West Dumbarton following a spike in cases.

Residents in these areas have been banned from hosting or visiting other households indoors for at least two weeks.
