Three men have been charged after being taken to hospital following an assault which saw a street in Glasgow locked down by police.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in Budhill Avenue, Shettleston around 8.45pm on Tuesday, October 22.

Two men, aged 28 and 33, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to head injuries before being charged in connection with an assault.

A 40-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a facial injury.

He was also charged in connection with an assault.

All three men will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, we were called to a report of a disturbance in Budhill Avenue, Shettleston.

“Officers attended and two men, aged 28 and 33, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to head injuries.

“Both were subsequently arrested and charged in connection with an assault and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

“A 40-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a facial injury.

“He was later arrested and charged in connection with an assault and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Budhill Avenue was closed for a period of time while officers carried out enquiries and has since reopened.”
