Police ScotlandThree men have appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a man in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to Springhill Street in Douglas around 8.35pm on April 13 following reports of a disturbance.
Police confirmed Joe Buchanan, aged 35, died at the scene.
Mr Buchanan’s family said in a statement: “We want to thank everyone who has shown support to the family.
“Joe had a heart of gold, and we would appeal to anyone who has any information to come forward.
“We would also ask that our privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
Three men aged 21, 43 and 41, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Christopher Mullen Jnr, Christopher Mullen Snr, and Ryan Mullen appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with murder.
The three men made no plea during their appearance and were committed for further examination.
All three were remanded in custody and are due to appear in court again within the next eight days.
