Three men have been arrested in connection with an assault after a body was found in a flat in Glasgow.
Police were called to a report of an assault and robbery of a 28-year-old man in the Springfield Road area of the city around 10.15pm on Thursday, August 15.
Two men, aged 17 and 40, were arrested and charged in connection with the robbery and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 19.
While attending, officers discovered the body of an unidentified man within a flat on Springfield Road.
All three men have also been arrested in connection with assault and released pending further enquiries.
Police believe the incidents are linked and said enquiries to identify the man found dead are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024 we received a report of an assault and robbery on a 28-year-old man in the Springfield Road area of Glasgow.
“Two males, aged 17 and 40, have been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 19, 2024.
“While conducting enquiries into this incident, officers discovered the body of an unidentified man within a flat in Springfield Road.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to identify him and establish the full circumstances.
“Three males, aged 17, 28 and 40, have been arrested in connection with assault and released pending further enquiries.
“At this time, officers believe the incidents are linked.”
