Three men charged with 'impersonating police, assault and burglary'

The men travelled to the south of England where they allegedly forced their way into a home pretending to be officers.

Three men from Scotland have been charged following an investigation into an aggravated burglary in Slough.

The trio, who are all from East and West Dunbartonshire, were charged after an incident in Spackmans Way in the Berkshire town on Wednesday, June 21, after a Thames Valley Police investigation.

The offenders allegedly impersonated police officers and forced their way into an address where an occupant was assaulted.

Ian Scott, aged 30, of Lyle Square, Milngavie, Michael McCougan, aged 33, of Whitehill Crescent, Clydebank and Liam Bainbridge, aged 34 of Orbiston Place, Clydebank were all charged with aggravated burglary on Saturday, June 24.

They have been remanded in custody awaiting a court date to be set.
