Three dogs have died after a fire broke out in a flat in Stirling on Boxing Day.
Firefighters were called to the ground floor of a three-storey building in the Printers Row area of Balfron at around 3.54pm on Thursday.
Two appliances were sent to the scene and the blaze was extinguished at around 5.45pm.
Three dogs were pronounced dead. There were no further casualties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.54pm on Thursday, December 26, to reports of a dwelling fire on Printers Row, Balfron.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene where firefighters worked to extinguish the fire affecting the ground floor of a three-storey building.
“Three dogs within the affected building sadly died at the scene.
“No further casualty was reported.
“Crews left the scene at around 5.45pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
