Google MapsThree adults and three children are in hospital after a serious crash between a lorry and a mini van on the M8 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident involving a Mercedes Vito mini van and an HGV near Chapelhall at around 2am on July 11.
Three adults and three children from the mini van were taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver for the HGV was not injured.
The road was closed for more than five hours and reopened at around 7.30am.
Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Elaine Scott said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“The road re-opened around 7.30am, same date. I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious crash.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0420 of Saturday, July 11, 2026.”
