Three women have been charged following reports that staff allegedly mistreated residents at a care home in East Dunbartonshire.
Police launched an investigation in May, stating they were looking into the alleged mistreatment of both current and previous residents at Springvale Care Home in Lennoxtown.
The probe was not directly linked to Covid-19.
On Friday, the force confirmed three women – aged 55, 57 and 62 – have been arrested and charged.
A spokesperson said: “In connection with the investigation relating to the alleged mistreatment of residents at Springvale Care Home in Lennoxtown, three women, aged 55, 57 and 62, have been arrested and charged.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Relevant families and partners have been made aware.”
