Three people have been charged after an estimated £200,000 worth of cannabis plants were discovered during a police raid in Glasgow.

Officers entered the premises on Paisley Road West at around 3.10pm on Wednesday.

A 30-year-old woman and two men, aged 29 and 34, were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Police executing a search warrant recovered the drugs and said a report would be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Chris Daly, Govan Community Policing Team, said: “This is a significant cannabis cultivation. The recovery of the plants and disruption of the operation is another step towards making our community safer.

“Tackling the supply and distribution of harmful substances is a priority for us. Information provided by the public is vital.

“I’d urge anyone with concerns or who witnesses suspicious behaviour around buildings that aren’t frequently used, to report it to us and we’ll fully investigate.”
