Three people have been arrested after the police found £400,000 worth of cannabis during a raid in North Ayrshire.
Police said they discovered more than 60kg of herbal cannabis when they searched a property near Beith on Thursday at around 9.30am.
A 54-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the recovery and will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday.
A 23-year-old man was also arrested but he was later released without charge.
Detective inspector Gordon Smith said: “Police Scotland is committed to removing illegal substances from our communities and will take all measures to disrupt those involved.
“This recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
