A fault affecting the water supply of thousands in Argyll and Bute has been resolved.
Scottish Water carried out emergency repairs at the emergency repairs at Loch Eck treatment works after the issue was reported on Sunday morning.
Around 7,000 people in the PA23, PA27, and PA22 postcode areas were potentially facing disruption.
It has now been confirmed that normal water supply was maintained with just a few homes in PA23 Dunoon experiencing short interruptions.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “We carried out alterations on our water network, and tankers have been distributing water into the network to support in maintaining supplies for customers.
“Bottled water was also provided to customers who requested it on our Priority Services Register.
“We’re really pleased that thanks to the team’s quick response, we’ve been able to minimise the potential impact.
“We’d like to thank anyone who was affected for their patience while we completed the repair.”
Whilst the water network is recharging, customers may experience low/ intermittent water pressure. Some customers may also experience discoloured water which is normal after such an incident.
